finally managed to submit my documents, typed, to the high comm. after 2 days of waiting. what the heck lah, there's a monopoly of some shady business over there, in someone's garden, under a pitched, blue shelter, complete with a man carrying an umbrella, touting for business (not like people need much persuasion to use their services). here's the best part: the officials are completely aware of the going-ons and even tell people to go there. i wonder if they get kick-backs. well, it's a mutually-beneficial activity.

i din hv much choice but to use his services, considering that 1) i knew nuts about what they wanted, 2) it was a monopoly providing such services in the vicinity, 3) i was getting fed up, 4) i couldn't read malay.

that small garden costs $3000 a month to rent. i wonder how much he earns a month. he charged me $20! even though i had brought my own photos and photocopied my own stuff le and helped him to feed his mosquitoes for a couple of hours..argh..i was so poor, had to owe him $6. left with a net total of $0, had to ask shumz to meet me at ps to pay my cab fare! haha..the cab driver was quite trustful, let me go and withdraw $, i could have run away! :p of course i din!
