it's strange but if you read the first website, it promises daily fireworks..but not the 2nd webbie..then again, the 1st webbie seems to have made mistakes with the dates and saying that the festival is there for 15 days preceding the Chinese New Year..like!? siao ah, think new yr is 30 days celebration?
Bottle Tree Village
I just found out that it's in Sembawang Park..hmm should be worth a look-see? especially since it's imported from Australia..the stuff that fairy tales are made of. It was famously mentioned in The Little Prince, here's a picture of it as a tattoo on someone's arm. The baobab tree was also seen in Princess Hours aka Goong, that famous Korean Drama, where the prince, who used to be the crown prince, brought the crown princess to this place with lotsa bottle trees, cos she was upset and made her a nice bento too :) ok, if my memory din fail me..hmm google tells me that sentosa has bottle tree too! How come I've never seen it? Check the 8 Nov 2006 post here for more info.
Anyway, just go sembawang and check it out, if you're free..but then it's inaccessible by foot or at night, so you gotta drive in..alrighty, hope i'll get there soon~! :)
