the v-day effect

for the first time ever, i stepped into the laundry room and all was quiet. no dryers were being used, no clothes being washed in the washing machines. some washed laundry left in the machines, waiting forlornly for their owners. it must be the v-day effect, everyone's busy chasing skirts or smtg, too busy to rem their laundry..haha

i was out in town yesterday, while waiting for shumz to end work. decided to go kino and there i was, in the branded shops area of taka, where the likes of chanel reside. going up the escalator, something caught my eye. usually these shops are pretty empty, but there, in one corner, was a shop that was filled with ppl. first thought: post lunar new year sale! everyone's spending their $ there. i took a look at the shop name - tiffany and co. - and it dawned upon me. all the guys shopping for v-day gifts! so on i wen and then i spotted another shop filled with ppl - mont blanc..this time it was filled with girls, not as many but still significant i guess.
