sunday papers: sumiko tan has said that a woman is not complete without a man.. *gasp* *shock* *horror* for someone who has been "campaigning" and asserting women's independence and girl power for the last 10 years or so..what an about turn! it's still not too late, sumiko, work on it and hope you find someone! :)
it's been a long time since i've been reading sumiko tan's column and writings..since secondary school i think..maybe sec 2? i rem i read chua mui hoong's column then..
from believing in that there's the one, wanting to live alone in a nice apartment like what 高木雅使 had in tokyo cinderella, thinking that it's ok to stay single, thinking that i will not have children, cos childbirth is too scary and painful, silly crushes, listening to friends fretting about being single, from sheltered girls school to the 'real' world, where boys exist..
to realising that it can get lonely at times, when your friends are attached and they have less attention and time for you. and that you are not first on the schedule list..realising that dependency can be nice in way too..as sumiko puts it, it's nice to have a "24 hour best friend"..guy friends who tell me that i'm not young anymore, women's half life is less than a man and to get a boyfriend..
aha, xuan, work hard on it too..from zero to hero..3 suitors or more? aja aja fighting for your future happiness! :) dun settle for anything but the best, because you're worth it! haha..
