been watching "lovers in paris" :)

ok i know i'm slow..haha..kept catching glimpses of the drama on tv and was really curious to find out what happened in france. this is the first time i'm watching an entire drama online! lol.

throughout the movie, they keep playing various renditions of "moon river"..i like! haha..there's the lisa ono one, the violin one..not sure what else..

and i suddenly realise that this is such a typical storyline, although it's effective i guess...girls just love to daydream..dream of being the princess getting married to the prince. there's always a rich guy and a poor girl. then the rich guy will be attracted to the poor girl but like everyone else around disagrees. after much trials and tribulations, they're finally together! add in some twist of family relations. and there you have it! the perfect formulae for a heart-wrenching, tears-invoking love story! some sweet scenes, endearing moments, mushy lines and good-looking cast, together with some believable acting - a hit love drama is made! lol, it never fails. for extra excitment, add some jealous relatives or outsiders who are determined to make life difficult for the couple.

think of 流星花园, 海豚湾恋人, 王子变青蛙, 綠光森林, tokyo cinderella and many more hits that were made based on this formula. haha, it's funny but girls always fall for it. oh well. still, i fell for it too..haha.

ki-joo (park shin yang):
Seeing someone? How do you do that? Having meals together...taking her home...trying to help her whenever she's in trouble..trying not to hurt her feelings. If that's what it is, yes, i am.

taken out of context, it's lost much meaning. ki-joo is like a shrewd businessman, always sure of what to do. but when it comes to love, he's lost and clueless. in that scene where he said those lines, he has this really pensive look on his face. like hmm ok, mayb i'm in love with her, so what do i do now? and moreover, he reaches that conclusion when questioned by his ex-wife.

oh ya, i finished diamond rush too! :)
