there's usually this dis-connect i feel between what i see on tv and what actually goes on in e life around me..not so with the forest/bush fires..they are all around, perhaps a little 2 close 4 comfort? i was happily walking along as6 one day, when smtg made me turn round and hv a second look..it was e sight of this patch of burned trees and forestry..it just seemed so empty, brown n out of place..it was just hollow..hard 2 exp..i can show u if u r interested and willing to travel all e way 2 my sch..haha..yup, i guess i heard e news e day b4 abt e fire..just din expect 2 see it..yah, then i woke up this evening to a very cloudy, hazy sky..yup guess there was another fire..my lil bro said "it's smelly"..so i asked "smellier than u?"..he said "yah, but then you are going to say it's theoretically impossible.." *haha...how well he knows me.. :p yah, have been seeing a lot of those small fire trucks..er, dunno what they r called..nv really see b4..now keep seeing them, guess e firemen are busy!! keep up e gd work, fire-fighters!! :) yah, u know it's so hot so ppl keep switching on e air-con and fans and whatever..yah, i'm guilty of it 2..imagine, if we have this one day dun switch on air-con or whatever..do u think e whole place will just sound quieter? and how much energy will we conserve? interesting right? i rem last yr, was it last yr? think so..there was this blackout..as usual, urs truly was busy sleeping..so i woke up cos it was suddenly so noisy..like ppl shouting and talking loudly..i was qt disorientated, well, singapore is not a place where you often encounter blackouts and though i've encountered blackouts b4..but those were like just my hse or smtg..this was massive, all e blks, as far as i cld see were all dark..yet, i was struck by how quiet everything was..yah, it was ermm serene? if not for e fact tt ppl were like wondering what happened..yah, kinda wish e blackout lasted longer? er..haha..e ppl in hougang wld kill me.. :p i almost wished we had those street parties like they had in e states..
