it was almost christmas, we were out, admiring the lights, taking in the sights of the beautiful decorations, soaking in the festivities. hand in hand, we strolled down orchard leisurely. there were many other people around. afraid i would lose him or he would lose me, i griped his hand tightly, not daring to let go, for fear that either of us would be lost in the crowd. though we were in a group, we were lost in a world of our own, almost as if the world around us ceased to exist. as i excitedly pointed out all the lovely fairy lights and christmas trees to him, he would nod and smile gently, silently, not saying much. on and on we walked, till the sun went down and the moon rose. tired, we decided to stop at bk for dinner. though it was simple, it was happy and enjoyable because of the company. he looked so contented and happy. after dinner, we walked more, captured by the song of a mexican busker. then, it was getting late and time to head home. although it was very crowded, the mrt ride back was quick. as we were bidding goodbyes outside his home, unexpectedly, when my attention was diverted, he gave me a hug. though i was very surprised initially, as the significance of it sank it, i was awashed with a warm, fuzzy feeling. it was so sweet. :)
